How to Get Fresh Currency Notes from SBP Before Eid ul Fitr
The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has launched a free SMS-based service to help citizens obtain fresh currency notes for Eid 2025 — officially and without extra charges.
How to Apply for New Currency Notes:
Simply send your 13-digit CNIC number followed by your nearest bank branch code to 8877. You’ll receive a confirmation code with the branch address. Visit the branch with your original CNIC and a photocopy for verification.
This initiative curbs the illegal sale of new currency notes in Pakistan’s open market, ensuring fair and free access for all citizens ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr.
No service fee applies through this official SBP channel.
