China Remains Pakistan's Largest Import Partner in February 2026

Pakistan–China Trade Hits $1.41 Billion Amid Shifting Import Landscape

China maintained its position as Pakistan’s largest import partner in February 2026, with bilateral imports reaching $1.41 billion — a year-on-year growth of 9.9%, according to data from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).

The United Arab Emirates ranked second among Pakistan’s top import sources, followed by Saudi Arabia and the United States. Notably, imports from Saudi Arabia and the US recorded positive growth, while UAE imports saw a slight decline during the month.

Cumulatively through FY2025–26, Pakistan’s total imports rose 8.1% to $45.50 billion, reflecting sustained demand for industrial goods, machinery, and energy products. China’s dominant share underscores a deepening Pakistan–China trade relationship, shaped significantly by CPEC-linked supply chains and affordable manufactured goods.

These figures highlight Pakistan’s continued reliance on key international partners — and the evolving dynamics of global trade patterns in a challenging economic environment.
