The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast rain and thunderstorms in Karachi and other parts of Sindh on March 18 and 19, driven by a westerly wave entering the western parts of the country on March 17.
Which Sindh Districts Are Affected?
Multiple districts — including Jamshoro, Hyderabad, Thatta, Sujawal, Badin, Matiari, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tando Allah Yar, Umerkot, Tharparkar, Sanghar, Mirpurkhas, Dadu, Larkana, Jacobabad, Kashmore, and Ghotki — are expected to experience rain, thunderstorms, strong winds, and isolated hailstorms on March 18 and 19.
Advisory for Farmers & Residents
The meteorological department has advised farmers across Sindh to manage crops and agricultural activities according to the expected weather conditions, as sudden rain or hail may affect standing crops. Citizens are advised to stay indoors during downpours to avoid hazards.
